Legislative Committee
The Committee serves as the primary body within PCFMI for reviewing proposed laws, advocating industry positions, and ensuring that legislative frameworks support the sustainable growth and competitiveness of the industry.
Objectives
The Legislative Committee aims to:

Monitor and assess proposed legislation and policy changes relevant to the food manufacturing industry.

Develop industry positions on legislative matters and recommend advocacy strategies.

Engage with lawmakers, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to represent the sector’s interests.

Provide legislative updates and guidance to PCFMI members.

Composition & Membership
Key Activities
- Monitoring legislative developments, including proposed bills and policy amendments.
- Drafting position papers, legislative comments, and industry statements.
- Engaging with legislators, policymakers, and regulatory bodies.
- Organizing policy dialogues, public consultations, and stakeholder meetings.
- Conducting impact assessments on proposed legislative measures.
- Representing the industry in congressional hearings, committee meetings, and public forums.
